Getting started

How is your pricing determined?

For residential cleaning, pricing depends on your home's square footage and how often you'd like us. Weekly cleaning starts at $195, bi-weekly at $210, and deep cleans at $395 for homes up to 1,500 sq ft. Larger homes are priced accordingly.

For commercial spaces, every job is custom-quoted after a walkthrough — we consider square footage, frequency, scope, and scheduling needs.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. We don't require contracts for residential or commercial service. You can cancel, pause, or reschedule any time. Most of our recurring clients stay with us for years — always by choice, never by obligation.

How do I book a cleaning?

The fastest path is our online quote form — we'll follow up within one business day to confirm details and schedule your first visit. You can also call us at (201) 685-0024.

Commercial clients start with a walkthrough so we can tailor a proposal to your space.

What's your cancellation policy?

Your first cancellation is always free — no fee, no matter how last-minute. After that, we charge a $50 fee only if you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled visit. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice are always free.

Can I book a same-day cleaning?

For existing clients, yes — we'll always do our best to fit you in depending on crew availability. For new clients, we typically need at least 24 to 48 hours to schedule your first visit properly and match you with the right crew.

Before we clean

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

Not at all. Most of our clients aren't home during their cleaning. Once we've established how to access your space — key, code, smart lock, or lockbox — you can go about your day and come home to a spotless house.

How do I give you access?

We'll work out the details during booking. Most clients provide a lockbox code, garage code, smart-lock access, or a spare key we keep securely. Access information is stored in a private client record that only your assigned crew can see.

Do I need to tidy up before the cleaning?

No — we'll work around whatever state your home is in. That said, picking up clothes, toys, and clutter before we arrive helps us spend more time on actual cleaning rather than sorting.

What about my pets?

We love pets. Just let us know what to expect — breed, temperament, and any special instructions. If your pet tends to be anxious around new people, securing them in a separate room while we work is usually easiest for everyone.

Do I have an online account?

Yes. Every Jersey Green client has access to an online dashboard where you can view upcoming visits, see past invoices, pay bills, update access information, leave tips, and manage your account. You'll also receive SMS reminders before each scheduled cleaning.

What's included

What does a standard cleaning include?

Every standard visit covers vacuuming and mopping all floors, dusting surfaces and furniture, full bathroom sanitization, kitchen cleaning (including appliance exteriors and stovetop), cleaning inside the microwave, and emptying trash.

How many cleaners will come?

Typically 2 to 4 team members per visit, depending on the size of your home or space. A standard bi-weekly cleaning of a 2,500 sq ft home usually takes a two-person crew about three hours.

Will you do dishes or laundry?

We'll load a dishwasher if dishes are in the sink. We don't hand-wash dishes or do laundry as part of a standard clean. Let us know in advance if you'd like to add either to your visit.

What products do you use?

We bring eco-friendly, plant-based products to every visit — safe for kids, pets, and the environment. We supply everything we need, every time.

If you prefer we use products from your own home, we're happy to do that as well. Just let us know during booking.

Team & safety

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes. Jersey Green carries full commercial liability insurance, and every team member is bonded. Commercial clients can request a Certificate of Insurance during onboarding.

How do you screen your team?

Every team member goes through a background check, reference verification, and an in-person interview. We also require significant prior residential or commercial cleaning experience before joining — we don't train on the job.

Will I have the same crew every visit?

Yes — this is one of our core commitments. Once you're matched to a crew, you'll see the same faces visit after visit. They'll learn your space, your preferences, and what matters to you. We only rotate when someone's out sick or on vacation.

For businesses

Is commercial pricing different from residential?

Yes. Commercial work is always custom-quoted after a walkthrough of your space. Pricing depends on square footage, cleaning frequency, scope, and scheduling needs. Most proposals go out within 48 hours of the walkthrough.

Can you clean outside business hours?

Absolutely. We regularly schedule commercial work for before-hours, after-hours, overnight, weekends, and holidays. We adapt to your operations — you shouldn't have to fit your business around ours.

Do you handle specialty commercial work?

Yes. We regularly clean medical and dental practices with healthcare-grade protocols, retail spaces and storefronts, and post-construction commercial buildouts. Full details on our Commercial page.

Satisfaction & extras

What's your satisfaction guarantee?

If we miss anything during your clean, call us within 24 hours and we'll return to re-clean it, free of charge. No forms, no hassle — just a phone call. It's how we stand behind every visit.

Do you accept tips?

Tips are appreciated but never expected. If you'd like to tip your crew, you can do it through your online dashboard (the amount is distributed directly to the team) or leave cash on your kitchen counter.
