Bigger homes change the staffing math

Millburn and Short Hills properties run larger than almost anywhere else we work at recurring frequency. Our regular homes here sit between 2,100 and 3,800 square feet, and one-time move in work has run past 12,000. That is not a pricing footnote. It changes how the visit is staffed.

A house at this scale gets a full crew rather than a pair, which keeps the work inside one working day instead of stretching it across two. Our largest Millburn move in this summer took eight cleaners and six hours. Sending three people to that job would have meant two days and a worse result.

Basements and third floors are usually in scope

Millburn housing stock leans toward finished lower levels and third floor space, and both come up often enough that we quote them explicitly rather than discovering them on arrival. Same with interior refrigerator and oven work on move in and move out cleans.

Older Millburn homes, newer Short Hills builds

The two halves of the township are not the same job. Millburn proper carries more prewar colonial with original hardwood and detailed trim, where we use pH neutral floor solution rather than anything that dulls a finish. Short Hills brings more substantial mid-century and later construction with multiple bathrooms and separate wings.
